Annual Tree Lighting and Community Caroling

On the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 29th at 4PM we kick off our Annual Tree Lighting & Community Caroling. Enjoy the beauty of Nantucket as we prepare for this one-of-a-kind holiday season. Over 150 trees will magically come alive in a blaze of light as we enjoy musical performances.

Please note that Main Street will be closed from 12-6pm.

We’re gearing up for the best Tree Lighting yet, and here are some helpful reminders for Friday!

Bring your caroling voices! We’ll publish the lyrics to songs on our website, nantucketchamber.org and we’ll have a QR code printed around the area to scan directly to the site.
The best way to enter the Tree Lighting ceremony will be coming up from Main Street. There will be zero pedestrian access via Orange Street, and only one scanner on Fair Street for limited pedestrian access. We’re adding screening to the Main Street entry this year so that will be the best way to enter!
For anyone who does not want to pass through screening, the lower portion of Main Street between Federal and South Water Streets will be closed to cars. Please enjoy the celebration from there and sing along!
Travel light! Bundle up for the weather but leave bags and other items at home. List of prohibited items (including but not limited to) follows.

The day after Tree Lighting is Small Business Saturday. This is a great opportunity to stop by your favorite stores and shop! Thank you for supporting local businesses.
